He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Smart and Helen Smart (O'Connor); and his wife Kathleen (Kelly). He is survived by : his brother-in-law Gary; his children, Susan Smart of Pembroke, Karyn Smart of Hanson and David Smart of Portland, Oregon; his brother Francis Smart; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Caileigh, Meaghan, Courtney and Connor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

“Hi, my name is Bill Julian and for some unknown reason yesterday morning I woke up thinking about Dave smart. I was David Smart Plumber in the early and mid-1990s. I lived on Pine Street in South Weymouth and used to service his home various plumbing and heating needs. I always like talking to Dave and it is amazing how after 30 years he came into my mind yesterday and I wanna offer condolences to anybody any of his family that’s reading this now.. I still doing Plumbing in Brockton. Bill”
