He is survived by: his wife Josie Casey (Devito); his sisters, Diane McKeen of Quincy and El Casey (Mark Hannigan) of Milton; his niece Kerry McKeen; his parents-in-law, Rocco and Maria Devito of Hingham; his sister-in-law Daniela Sampson (Mark); his niece Sofia of Hingham; and his friends, Stephen Linskey of Quincy, Dominic Denizio of West Roxbury and Romeo.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be in Dennis' memory, made to the Brigham and Women's Hospital ICU, 75 Francis Street, Boston, MA 02115.
