She was predeceased by: her husband Stephen Eastman Root, Jr.; and her parents, Claude Walden Johnson, Jr. and Dixie Stewart Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Jonathan Quinby (Melissa) of Mattapoisett, Mass. and Lizabeth Walden (Scott) of Weymouth; her siblings, Denny, Anne, Ginger, Bobby, Jane, Nancy, Liza and Doug; and her grandchildren, Madeleine Root, Aidan Root, Allison Root, Erin Root, Faith Gagnon and Josh Gagnon. She is also survived by siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
