He is survived by: his son-in-law John; his children, Dennis McDermott (Frances) of Marstons Mills, Thomas McDermott (Sara) of Sagamore, Frank McDermott (Rhonda) of Cotuit, Phyllis Powers (John) of Weymouth, Janice McDermott, Michael McDermott, Patricia Carney and Elizabeth McDermott; and his brothers, William McDermott and Richard West. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
