We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2025 we had to say goodbye to James L. McCarthy of Weymouth, Massachusetts, born in Dorchester, Massachusetts. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Dan McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Sally McCarthy (Giallongo) of Weymouth; his children, Chris McCarthy (Amy) of North Reading, Maureen Vagedes (Brian) of Georgia, Margo Collins (Brian) of Plymouth, Sara Harlow (Mike) of Rockland and Tricia Ferrante (Justin) of Norwell; his grandchildren, Cole, James, Kevin, Joe, Brian, Tim, Michael, Celia, Abby, Luca and Fiona; and his siblings, Jean Roma, Ann Allegrinni and Richard McCarthy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home (134 Pleasant St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Saint Jerome Parish (632 Bridge St, Weymouth, MA 02191).
