He is survived by: his sister Louise; his son James (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Alice and Jimmy; his son Shaun; his caregiver Virginia Wynn; his brothers, Russel, Richard and Walter; and his wife Alice Prendergast. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
