She was predeceased by: her parents, Norma Cushing MacDonnell and John F. MacDonnell; her son Douglas; her sister Veronica Sherman; and her great-nephew Sean.
She is survived by: her children, James William Lavin of Plymouth and Jessica Griffin (Kevin) of Harpswell, Maine.; her grandchildren, Liam, Emma Lavin of Plymouth, Tanner and Kamillah Griffin of Harpswell; her siblings, Julia MacDonnell Chang, Leah Macomber, Andrea Deyermond, Amy MacDonnell, Dan and Greg; and her siblings-in-law, Maureen, Celia, Dennis, Jack, Cal and Jerry.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home (21 Emerald St, Hingham, MA 02043). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Paul's Parish (147 North St, Hingham, MA 02043). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the Mt. Wollaston Cemetery (20 Sea St, Quincy, MA 02169).
