We announce the death of John E. Hopey of Weymouth, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 70. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hopey and Naomi Hopey; and his siblings, Pamela Cadigan and Mark Hopey. He is survived by: his children, Alison Hopey (Samuel Knowlton) of Raymond, Maine and Michael Hopey (Sheri); and his sisters, Robin Griffin and Amy Shea. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
