We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2022, Joyce Karhu Wells (Weymouth, Massachusetts), born in Quincy, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Stan Wells; and her father Toivo Karhu. She is survived by: her brother Paul Karhu (Marcia) of Dennis; and her nieces and nephews, Ken, George Matsumato of Florida, Mio and Kyoko Takenaka of Massachusetts. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joyce may be made to the Quincy Retired Teachers Association, 34 Coddington Street, Quincy, MA 021696, The New England Wildlife Center, 500 Columbian St. South Weymouth, MA 02190, or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 414238, Boston, MA 02241.

Our family has spread west which makes gathering harder but the pain of loss has reached us all and we want to know if there is something we can do to help you and your family.
