He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Gifford of Weymouth; his children, Suzie Gifford of Weymouth, Jake Gifford (Sarah) of Vineyard Haven and Katie Gifford Monahan of Hanover; his grandchildren, Fiona, Liam and Donagh; and his siblings, Nancy Gifford, John Gifford (Jean) and Earl Gifford (Mary Jo).

Donations may be made in Mark's memory to the First Congregational Church of Hanover.
