Mary M. (McCarthy) Drake Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary M. (McCarthy) Drake of Weymouth, Massachusetts, born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 16, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Michael G. Drake; her siblings, John J. McCarthy (Janice) of Abington and Barbara MacDonald (Richard) of Weymouth; her siblings-in-law, Kimberly Gallagher, Susan Barczak and Peter Drake; and her siblings' children, Kara Saluk (Brendan), Colin MacDonald, Krista MacDonald, Courtney McCarthy, Morgan McCarthy, Kelly Hamel (Marc), Dana Donovan (Kevin) and Leanne Gallagher.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - South (809 Main St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church (234 Pleasant St, Weymouth, MA 02190).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or to Norwell VNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
