He was predeceased by: his parents, Clovis T. Marcel and Mary Ita Marcel (Boudrot); his siblings, Thomas, David and Susan; and his wife Barbara Marcel.
He is survived by: his former wife Jerry Ann Hoar; his children, Nancy Bedard of Maine, Michael Marcel (Bonnie) of Quincy, Denise Erwin (John) of Weymouth, Deborah Elliott (Mark) of Weymouth and Richard Marcel of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Harry, Kelsey, Craig, David, Nicole, Ashley, Emily, Jeff, Megan and Nick; his great grandchildren, Caylee, Micah, Caleb and Abigail; and his sister Joyce Hurleyand. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home North Weymouth (40 Sea St, Quincy, MA 02169). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - North Starts (40 Sea St, Quincy, MA 02169).
