Richard E. Watson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard E. Watson of Weymouth, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas A. Watson and Lillian Watson (Kight); his wife Carolyn Watson (Chase); and his brother Douglas Watson Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Watson of Holbrook; and his siblings, Michael Watson of Wilmington and Linda Watson Lund of North Quincy. He is also survived by nieces, grand nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home - Quincy (785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Watson can be made to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project, or a charity of your choice.
