He was predeceased by: his brother Quincy; his father Joseph Ciardi; and his brother Joseph Ciardi. He is survived by: his brother Weymouth Robert E. Ciardi; his wife Marilyn J. Ciardi (Zeoli); his children, Robert E. Ciardi, Jr. (Karen) of Wellesley, Dawna M. Sares (James) of Raynham and Joseph L. Ciardi (Dawn) of Norwell; and his grandchildren, Natalie Ciardi, Jessica Sares (Ross Ginsberg), James Sares, Sarah Henning (Alex) and Andrew Ciardi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
