He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cynthia M. Donnellan of Weymouth; his daughters, Molly Donnellan of Arlington and Katherine Donnellan (Katie) of Weymouth; his parents, Thomas Donnellan and Nuala Donnellan; and his siblings, Karen Donnellan (Carl Potts) of Quincy, Maureen Donnellan of Quincy, Brian Donnellan (Catherine Booras) of Middleton and Kathleen Wright (Matthew) of Littleton. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
