It is with sadness that the passing of Viola Reed of Weymouth, Massachusetts is shared. Viola, born on March 27, 1923, passed away on September 10, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Viola Reed to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Carlson and Hilda Carlson; her sisters, Stina Simons and Greta Trowbridge; and her brothers-in-law, Warren Reed and Richard Stard.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Reed (Wanda) and Lisa Thompson (George); her brother Alfred Carlson (Barbara); her stepson Gary Stard; her grandchildren, Zachary Reed (Becky), Morgan Reed (Sarah), George Thompson III (Molly) and Tracy Nichter (Jesse); Marsha Stard. She is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren: and many nieces, nephews, extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Old South Union Church (25 Columbian St, Weymouth, MA 02190).
At the families request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Viola's name to the Old South Union Church Scholarship Fund.
