It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip Todd Hakala of Wheelwright, Massachusetts, born in Gardner, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Uuno Hakala and Irene Hakala (Juvonen); his brothers, Gary Hakala and Russell Hakala; his nephew Shane Cole; and his niece Shona Cole Edwards.

He is survived by: his siblings, Gail Cole (Roger) of Witt and Jeffrey Hakala (Melonie) of Hubbardston; his nieces and nephews, Chris Cole (Kristy) of Sherman, Chad Hakala (Victoria) of Henderson, Jacob Hakala (Shyanne) of Hubbardston, Amanda Schuster, Samantha Whaland (Jerry), Brittany Berger (Thomas) of Hubbardston and Lindsay Rogowski (Robert) of Barre; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hayden Edwards (Hannah Atwood), Carson, Wyatt Cole, Michael, Kailynn Schuster, Memphis Whaland, Abigail, Ava, Audrey Rogowski, Fiona, Finn, Farrah Berger, Charlotte Hakala and Hensley Edwards.
