He was predeceased by : his father James W. Blackburn; and his son Brian A. Blackburn. He is survived by : his wife Julie A. Blackburn (DeOrsay); his daughter Casey Moss Blackburn (David Green); and his siblings, Robert J. Blackburn (Deborah Gresco-Blackburn) of Uxbridge and Cindy S. Bliss (Kevin).

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buma Funeral Homes - Whitinsville (480 Church St, Whitinsville, MA 01588). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the First Evangelical Congregational Church of Uxbridge (8 Court St, Uxbridge, MA 01569).
