We announce the death of Diedra Barr of Whitinsville, Massachusetts, born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 81. Diedra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard J. Despres and Dorothy H. Despres (Kane); her husband Warren E. Barr III; her daughter Darlene Clarke-Zolides; and her siblings, Linda Channel and John Despres.
She is survived by: her children, Earl Mathews, Lorrie Daniels, Dr. Rhonda Button, Leonard "Tony" Mathews, Shawn Mathews and Wayne Alacoski; her stepchildren, Warren E. Barr IV of Whitinsville, Jeffrey Barr of Whitinsville, Karen Barr of Whitinsville and Uxbridge Cheryl Volpe; and her sisters, Beverly Dunne, Sharon Bickford and Nora Bixby. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
