Marie A. Haringa Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marie A. Haringa (Whitinsville, Massachusetts), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marie left this world on June 19, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Theodore E.'Ted'Haringa; her parents, Jacob J. Wassenaar and Elizabeth Wassenaar (Hoekstra); her son-in-law Henry Knapper; her brother David Wassenaar; and her sisters-in-law, Elsie Wassenaar and Jackie Wassenaar.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Knapper, Steve Haringa (Ruth), Jane Buteyn (Dave) and Tim Haringa (Lorraine); and her siblings, James Wassenaar (JoAnne), Joan VanderSloot (Andy) and Ruth Naylor (Marv). She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church (305 Goldthwaite Rd, Whitinsville, MA 01588). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made to the Whitinsville Retirement Home, 10 Chestnut Street, Whitinsville, MA 01588 or to the Fairwoods Christian Recreation Society Inc., 116 West Hartford Ave., Uxbridge, MA 01569 or to the Whitinsville Christian School, 279 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
