He was predeceased by: his brother Raymond P. Buma; his daughter-in-law Gail C. Buma (Hiskes); and his parents, Peter Buma and Mary Ann Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Marian J. "Boots" Buma (Vander Baan); his children, Scott M. Buma of Douglas, MA, Brett M. Buma (Iona) of Whitinsville, MA and Shelley J. Buma of Whitinsville, MA; his grandchildren, Brittany J. Bergner (Douglas) of Medford, MA, Jonathan P. Buma of Whitinsville, MA. and Jarrod M. Buma of Whitinsville, MA.; and his sister-in-law Mildred Buma. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carr Funeral Home (24 Hill St, Whitinsville, MA 01588). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church (305 Goldthwaite Rd, Whitinsville, MA 01588).
