He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Allen (Sampson) and Almon Allen; and his siblings, Pauline, Corinne and Fred.
He is survived by: his niece Carole Strobl of Colorado; his great-nephews, Michael and Mark; his stepfather Daniel Shea; his son Richard; and his nephew Lee (B. Gurney).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the McKinnon Funeral Home (760 Washington St, Whitman, MA 02382). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Ghost Church (518 Washington St, Whitman, MA 02382).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to Holy Ghost Church in Whitman or to Friends of the Unborn in Quincy.
