He is survived by: his parents, Darlene Halm (Schomas) of Ottawa, IL and Kenneth Mitchell of Texas; his son Dexter; his siblings, Julie Mitchell of Chicago, Amber Robinson (Kory) of Austin, MN, Daniel Halm (Sara) of Ottawa, IL and Bryan Mitchell (Gina) of Sugar Grove, IL; and his grandmother Carolyn Winslow (late Don) of Ottawa, IL. He is also survived by five nephews.
