She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmelo Scibilia and Annunziata (Biancuzzo); her husband Paolo Barberi; and her son Carmelo Barberi. She is survived by: her children, Concetta "Connie" Trio (late Joseph) of Wilmington, MA and Pietro Barberi (Rachael Britton) of Charlestown, MA; her grandchildren, Pat, Natalie, Laurene, David, Paul, Joseph, Adrienne and Pietro Jr.; and her siblings, Maria Cardone (late Pancrazio) of Pelham, NH, Angela Ianello (late Matteo) of Saugus, MA, Giuseppe Scibilia (Maureen) of Melrose, MA and Eleonora Palladino (late Enrico) of Melrose, MA.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas of Villanova Church (126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Caterina's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
