He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Irish; his wife Julie (Monagle); his children, Valerie Murphy of Marina Bay, Juliann Cadogan (James) of Wilmington, Daniel Murphy (Kathleen) of Foxboro and Matthew Murphy (Elizabeth) of Scituate; his grandchildren, Caileen, Bridget Cadogan of South Boston, Maeve Cadogan of Wilmington, Annie, Molly, Declan Murphy of Foxboro, Curran, Charlie and Nora Murphy of Scituate; and his siblings, John Murphy, Mary McPherson, Eileen Piccola and Maureen Walsh. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
He was a proud founding member of the Woburn Irish American Club where he served on the Board of Directors for many years, participating in all the social and charity events offered.
