She was predeceased by: her parents, John Fennessey and Mary Fennessey (Holland); her husband William "Bill" Barrett; and her brother Larry Fennessey. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Patch (Tom) of North Reading, William F. Barrett, Jr. (Mary) of Methuen, Jay Barrett (JoAnne) of Wilmington and Kevin Barrett of Wakefield; her grandchild Kasey; her sibling Gerry Fennessey (Anne) of Andover; her daughter-in-law Missy Barrett; and her children, Grace and Matthew. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas of Villanova Church (126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887).
Donations in Dottie's memory may be made to the Crest School Visions Program, which provides employment opportunities for adults with special needs and was very dear to her heart.
