The passing of Janet M. Gilhooly of Wilmington, Massachusetts leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 4, 2025 at the age of 78. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Burchsted and Annie Burchsted (Wolfe); her husband Henry Gilhooly; and her siblings, Roy Burchsted (Adelaide) of Brockton, Russell Burchsted (late Nancy) of Wilmington and Joyce Burchsted (Timothy Brosnan) of Dennis.
She is survived by: her children, Howard Gilhooly (Lisa) of Chicopee and Erin Gilhooly-Smith (Dennis Chaves) of Assonet; her grandchildren, Aidan, Katie Gilhooly of Chicopee, Tommy and Annie Smith of Assonet; and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Irwin (William Irwin) of Fallston, MD.. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Wildwood Cemetery (233 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887).
