John Burke Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Burke of Wilmington, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burke and Josephine Burke (Carroll); his wife Margaret A. McGuinness (McGuinness); and his siblings, Paul Burke, Charles Burke, Helen Nocella Cpt, William Burke and Carroll Graham.
He is survived by: his children, Carroll Quinn (Jeff) of Wilmington, John F. Burke, Jr. of Weymouth, Jayne M. Burke, Betty A. Burke and Suzanne Hardy; his grandchildren, Jack, Josie Quinn, Jason, Joseph, Kasey Burke, Jeffrey and Shane Mahoney; and his brother Joseph Burke of Arlington. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Wildwood Cemetery (233 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887).
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
