It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John James Gilligan of Wilmington, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gilligan and Florence Gilligan (Smith); and his son Kevin Gilligan. He is survived by: his close friend Pamela Goodwin (Clark) of Wilmington; his sons, James Gilligan (Rheanna Mertens) of Woburn, Sean Gilligan (Amanda) of North Grosvenordale, CT and Trevor Gilligan of Wakefield; his sister Sheila Bayer (Vincent) of Massapequa Park, NY.; his siblings-in-law, Noreen Burns (late Carey) of Atkinson, NH, Dale Shea (Eugene) of Rye, NH and Susan Liberty (Scott) of Wilmington, MA.; and his close friend William Knowles. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
