He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, R. Raymond Metcalfe and Ida E. Metcalfe (Tymeson); his wife Barbara Metcalfe; his children, Raymond Metcalfe (Courtney), Daniel Metcalfe (Nicolle), Kyle Cimon (Nancy), Bryan Metcalfe, Haylee Metcalfe (Tyler Murphy), Jocelyn Metcalfe (Kevin Kemp), Wyatt Metcalfe and Lyla Metcalfe; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Blake, Danny, Carter and Lincoln; and his brothers, Roger Metcalfe (Marjorie) and Ronald Metcalfe (Connie). He was also cherished by his nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Wildwood Cemetery (233 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray's memory may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306 or to the Elks National Foundation, 2750 N. Lakeview Ave., Chicago, IL 60614-2256.
