Richard Murphy Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Murphy of Wilmington, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard F. Murphy and Mary M. Murphy (Lane). He is survived by: his wife Hannah Christine Murphy (Desmond) of Wilmington; his children, Richard Murphy of Sterling, VA and Siobhan Murphy of Reading, MA.; his sister Mary Patricia Vozzella (Robert) of Wilmington; and his sisters-in-law, Alice Skehan of Scituate, Mary Looney of Macroom and Esther O'Callaghan (Henry) of Lissarda. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Dorothy's Church (11 Harnden St, Wilmington, MA 01887). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Wildwood Cemetery (233 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887).
