He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara A. Foss (Carroll); his son William E. Foss; and his sibling Merle Sparfven. He is survived by: his children, Joanne Tringale (Dan) of Lexington, Robert M. Foss of Wilmington, Lorraine Magarian (Bob) of Chelmsford, Kathy Savage (John) of Lexington, Mark Foss (Karen) of Lexington and Michael Foss (Brenda) of Salem, NH; and his sisters, Barbara Zorbas and Sharon DelCarpini. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, by 1 great grandchild, and by many nieces and nephews.
