He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Salo and Avis Salo (Walcott). He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Rebekah; his wife Denise Salo (Rocheleau); his children, Stacy Lapierre (Matthew) and Jeremy Salo (Rebekah); his sisters, Geraldine, Louise and Carolyn; and his grandchildren, Kayleigh, Bryce, James, Evelyn, Wesley, Silas and Grace. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
