It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Anthony Hornak of Winchendon, Massachusetts, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Hornak; his son Nicholas Hornak; and his stepchildren, Erica Mazaika and Kenneth Mazaika (Natalie).

“Bill began working for my father by mowing the lawn and unwrapping cow bread. He eventually graduated to cleaning our meat plant. After getting his license, he started making small deliveries after school and on Saturday mornings. While working alongside our meat cutters, Bill developed a strong interest in the craft. Seemingly overnight, he became a highly skilled meat cutter himself. Over the years, Bill and I worked very closely together until he eventually moved north. He will be missed.”
