With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Staggs of Winchester, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Caterina Bubba and Antonio DeTeso; her husband James Dwight Staggs; her stepdaughter Judith R. Staggs; and her siblings, Concetta (John Salera), Rocco DeTeso (Ann), Salvatore "Sam" DeTeso (Mary) and Antonette "Ann" (Robert "Bud" Scheybal).

She is survived by : her sister Lilla (Emanuel Ianna); her daughter Kimberly Staggs; her stepchildren, Mary C. Staggs and James Steven Staggs (Margaret); and her stepgrandsons, Matthew Galamison (Ashleigh) and Marshal James Staggs (Ashley).

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral and Cremation (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Longmeadow Cemetery (34 Williams St, Longmeadow, MA 01106).
