It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe L Birchfield of Windsor, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Birchfield and Nelle Smith Birchfield. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher (Marie) of Staten Island, NY and Jeremy (Laura) of Brooklyn, NY.; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Melissa, Jason, Jordana and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Matthew and Melanie; and his wife Margaret Jean Davidson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his name to the Windsor Volunteer Ambulance or HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
