He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. O'Brien and Catherine O'Brien (Tierney); his wife Judith (O'Connor); and his sister Ethel Cullity (O'Brien) of Medford. He is survived by: his sons, James J. O'Brien of Hooksett, NH, John F. O'Brien (Sandra) of Wilmington and Joseph C. O'Brien of Winthrop; his grandsons, James O'Brien (Bridget), Joseph O'Brien (Emily), John O'Brien (Christine Caulfield) and Christopher O'Brien (Florentina Gutierrez); and his great grandchildren, Nora and James O'Brien. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
