James R. Corkhum Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Corkhum of Winthrop, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 20, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Corkhum, Sr. and Stella Corkhum (Hinchcliffe); his daughter Judith Merrill; and his siblings, Burton, Jr., Roy Corkhum and Joan Parma.
He is survived by: his sons, James W., Kenneth (Meghan) and Scott (Janice); his grandchildren, Haley, Hannah and Michael Corkhum; his sister Kathleen Leavy; and his brother-in-law Paul Leavy. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ernest P. Caggiano & Son Funeral Home (147 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA 02152). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (222 Bowdoin St, Winthrop, MA 02152).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital. (See links below).
