We announce the death of John Fife of Winthrop, Massachusetts, born in Medford, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 86. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fife and Esther Fife (Macdonald); his wife Ellen (Gustavson); and his son Patrick Fife. He is survived by: his children, Julie Klumpenaar (Peter), Timothy Fife (Heather (Rizzo)) and Heather Adamson (James); his grandchildren, Grace, Evan Smotrich, Chantal, Brandt, Jillian Klumpenaar, Hunter, Dylan Fife, Step-Papa, Jimmy, Jennifer and Jake Adamson; and his siblings, Jean McLeish, Robert Fife (Julie), Mary Ann Caldwell and Anthony Fife. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ernest P. Caggiano & Son Funeral Home (147 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA 02152). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (St. Michael's Parish) (320 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA 02152).
