It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Bangs (Winthrop, Massachusetts), who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Bangs to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold N. Bangs and Gertrude (Chisolm); and his son Richard E. Bangs of Winthrop. He is survived by: his children, Paul F. Bangs (Sheree) of Port St, Patricia M. Winn (David) of North Attleboro, David L. Bangs (Janet) of Hudson, NH and Janice M. MacKay of Winthrop; his grandchildren, Justin Bangs, Ryan Winn, Christopher Winn, Matthew Bangs, Stephanie Winn and Bridget Bangs; and his great grandchildren, Eloise, Evelyn Bangs, Charlie, Jack Winn and Baker Winn. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ernest P. Caggiano & Son Funeral Home (147 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA 02152). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (320 Winthrop St, Winthrop, MA 02152).
