He was predeceased by: his wife Christine A. Doherty; his parents, Robert Sr. Doherty and Stella Doherty; and his sister Theresa Doherty. He is survived by: his sisters, Alberta (Tom Elias) of Saugus and Lois (Walter McGinness) of Andover; his children, Robbie Doherty (Joanie), Dante Villani (Shannon), Samantha (Brian Sweeney Sr.) and James Doherty (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Dillon, Logan, Colton Doherty, Brian Sweeney Jr., James, Addison and Riley Doherty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
