She was predeceased by: her siblings, Philip Soave and Theresa Torrice (Torrice); her parents, Adele Soave and Guiseppe Soave; and her brothers, Phillip Soave and Joseph Soave.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Schafer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, cousins.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
