He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Gonsalves and Augusta Gonsalves (DeReis); his granddaughter Danielle Griffin; and his siblings, Mary Piazza, Manuel "Rudy" Gonsalves, Albert Gonsalves and Regina "Reggie" Dwyer.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Hentz (William) of Billerica, Danielle McCarthy of Dracut, Frederick "Rick" Gonsalves of Woburn and Dana Gonsalves (Lisa) of Billerica; his grandchildren, Derek, Sarah, Ashley, Stephanie, James, Meghan, Alec, Dylan, Joseph, Daniel, Mia, Max and Alexa; his great grandchildren, James, Jonathan, Lilliana, Cayden, Jeremiah, Madeline, Colin, Griffin, Jacob, Jayce, Haleigh, Karly, Noah, Amara and Cora; and his sister Natalie "Nettie" O'Connor of Woburn.
