He was predeceased by: his wife Maryellen Ameral (Little); his son James; his parents, Antonio Ameral and Antonetta Ameral (Ciccarelli); and his brother Henry "Hank" (late Rita).
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Luisi (Anthony) of Melrose and Joseph Toomey; his grandchildren, Sofia, Marco, Nico Luisi, Brian and Maryellen Toomey; and his siblings, Maryann Quible (Bruce) of Arlington, Richard "Richie" and Anthony "Sonny" Ameral. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
