He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. McSweeney and Barbara McSweeney (Randall); and his sister Barbara Frevert (Frank Frevert) of New Franklin, MO.. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen McSweeney (McCarthy); his children, James R McSweeney, Jr. (Pamela Trafton) of Methuen and Kathleen Vogel (Robert Vogel) of Woburn; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rice (Christopher Rice) of Manchester, NH, Peter McSweeney of Woburn, Joseph McSweeney (Victoria Rousseau) of Woburn, Jillian McSweeney of Methuen and Mary B Price of Lowell; and his siblings, Patricia McSweeney of Woburn, Brian McSweeney of Woburn and David McSweeney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
