Allison Preece wrote a sympathy message

“I know Rita and Murray from when Murray was my father's roommate at the Woburn rehab. It was a delightful time, funny enough, as my Dad and Murray became such good friends. As did I with Rita and as did my Mother, Margaret, another Rita! I always brought in the want advertiser for Murray. I was looking for a horse.......I now have 4.....but Murray and I decided we both liked black horses. Oh, and Murray's connection to Nova Scotia! I have one now too. But Murray's 90 year old brother was working on building a house at the time. I remember Rita's indomitable spirit. We both knew Dr. Borodic who had helped her with her condition of torticollis in her neck. She'd been on tv for receiving botox for her torticollis which had happened one day on the way to work; her neck pulling to one side. And I remember calling Rita for advice during the difficult times and she offered me much compassionate advice. After Royston, my father died, I contacted Rita & Murray & spoke to a lovely family member who was taking care of Murray & Rita and they both were doing well, although Murray had had another leg amputation and Rita was in the beginnings of Alzheimers. They have been in my heart and will always be in my heart. Always. Royston was there to greet them.”
