She was predeceased by: her husband Gerard Sweeney; her parents, Timothy "Frank" Desmond and Catherine Desmond (Driscoll); her son-in-law Frederick Casey; and her siblings, Barbara Harkins, Francis, John and Anne Desmond.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Riel (Christopher) of Billerica, Gerard Jr. (Shelley) of Burlington, Kathleen Casey of Woburn, Carol Woloski (John) of Woburn, Karen Strack (Phillip) of North Reading and Sean (Timberly) of Tewksbury; her grandchildren, Kyleen, Brian, Kevin, Corey Rose Casey, Melissa Stephenson, Jennifer, Tyler Woloski, Kellianne Creighton, Kyle, Ryan Sweeney, Antoria and Timothy Sweeney; her great grandchildren, Kaden, Lucas Sweeney, Colm Creighton and Blair Stephenson; her sisters, Elaine Aucoin of Woburn and Jean Donovan of Billerica; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Bowles of Billerica and Charles Harkins of Reading. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
