With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Carter Knowland (Woburn, Massachusetts), born in Boston, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2025. She is survived by: her close friend Diane Schulhoff; her sisters, Charlotte Carberry and Grace Leonard; her nieces, Melissa Graham, Meredith Leonard and Theresa Sheppard; and her nephew Chris Carberry.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Montvale Congregational Church (36 Orange St, Woburn, MA 01801). A burial was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Lindenwood Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's honor may be to the MSPCA.
