He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Murphy (Knowlton); his children, James Murphy and Judith Murphy; his parents, Joseph W. Murphy and Louise C. Murphy (Schlichte); and his siblings, James A. Murphy and Eleanor Casey.
He is survived by: his children, Charles (Luanne Murphy), Eric (Jess Murphy) and Carol Ann Murphy (Mike Muniz); and his granddaughter Jana Murphy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Raphael Church (512 High St, Medford, MA 02155). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Vincent's memory may be made to the Vincent J. Murphy Scholarship, class of '52, MS '57, at Boston College, 140 Commonwealth Ave., Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, or to Malden Catholic, 99 Crystal, Street, Malden, MA 02148 or to St. Raphael Church, 518 High Street, Medford, MA 02155.
