He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Eleni Mekrizis (John Papagiannis) of Toronto and Sophia Mekrizis (Sofronis Sofroniadis) of Nafpliio, Greece; his siblings, John Mekrizis (Marina) of Limnes, Greece and Katina Tessi (Kyriakos) of Korinthos, Greece; his grandchildren, Spiros, Athanasios Papagiannis, Vasilis and Aggelos Sofroniadis; and his parents, Christos Mekrizis and Sophia Mekrizis (Lekas). He was also cherished by his family, especially his grandchildren.
